An electroencephalography system allows the study of electrical brain activity, whether spontaneous or in response to a stimulus. This technique makes it possible to analyze the processes of perception, decision, emotion or motor skills. In addition, several pieces of equipment available in this laboratory (usable alone or in conjunction) make it possible to measure various additional psychophysiological responses. This equipment includes equipment to present visual stimuli, quantify pain detection and tolerance thresholds for hot, cold and touch (thermodes, quantitative sensory tests, electrical stimulators), as well as physiological measurement equipment to measure, among other things, cardiac, respiratory and electrodermal activity. This laboratory also allows the precise recording of eye movements, which makes it possible to correlate the exploration of visual stimuli with cortical activity.
