Summary of the initiative

The Participation Sociale et Villes Inclusive research team works to improve access for people with disabilities to all dimensions of the urban territory, while ensuring that their empowerment is strengthened.

To achieve its mission, the Social Participation and Inclusive Cities team places its projects in an approach of design and universal accessibility of the built environment, technologies and collective services, and places at the heart of its interventions the respect of the principles of participatory action research. This combination allows the team to carry out projects that are rooted in the needs of the communities and, by the same token, to promote a real application of the results to lead to real changes in practices.

The team’s 3 axes of research are:

  • Physical environments
  • Social environments
  • Partnership Literacy
