Summary of the initiative

This structuring project includes two main fields of study: monitoring technologies and assistive technologies.

Monitoring technologies: Development, evaluation, validation and transfer of wireless wearable sensor technologies allowing measurement in real environments (outside the laboratory) and over long periods of time of different metrics important for rehabilitation.

Assistive Technologies: Iterative development and evaluation of mechanical aids (e.g. orthotics for rehabilitation or assistance), robotic aids (e.g. exoskeletons) and user feedback technologies (e.g. real-time tactile warning of a non-ergonomic position and daily statistics on mobile application).

Ongoing research projects focus on the development, evaluation and transfer of cutting-edge technologies (robotics, mechatronics and intelligent algorithms) for rehabilitation and assistance to people living with disabilities.
