Simulated Living Environment Laboratory

The Simulated Living Environment Laboratory provides a platform for the co-creation, exploration, testing and evaluation of innovative ideas as well as scenarios, concepts and technological devices designed for a “real life family environment”. In addition, this laboratory allows all stakeholders to consider the overall performance of a solution or service and its potential uptake by future users. The laboratory comprises of three parts: a bathroom, a bedroom and an entrance to a house (the latter to be added in the summer of 2015). It is also designed to be “flexible”, i.e., most of the furniture and equipment is easy to move around so the laboratory can be easily adapted and configured for a wide range of research objectives.
